Triumph Bikes

Besides a number of two wheelers from domestic manufactures were launched in Auto Expo, a number of middle weight motorcycles from International brands will also reach Indian shores. British Bike manufacturer Triumph showcased its current ranges of motorcycles for Indian Bike lovers. Triumph was founded in 1902 and is based at Leicestershire in UK. It has sold 50,000 units till June 2011 to 30 different countries across the world. In 1980s company was declared as bankrupt and later it was bought by John Bloor. After years of research over consumer behavior and market, company decided to launch new motorcycles. A new facility was set up in Hinckley, Leicestershire UK. Finally in 1991 the company unveiled the new Triumph Motorcycles with advanced Technology and a small sub assembly plant was also established in Thailand. John’s son Nick Bloor is currently the CEO of Triumph motorcycles.

Triumph Engine Specifications, Dimensions

The Indian division of Triumph Bikes will be led by Ashish Joshi. Triumph’s Bonneville, Triumph America, Triumph Daytona and Triumph Rocket III are the motorcycles lined up for India. The expected price for Triumph motorcycles should be starting from around Rs. 2.5 Lakh (Ex. Showroom Price).
Triumph is powered by 865 cc parallel twin DOHC engine which can produce more than 54bhp of Power with dry weight of around 250 kg. The bike proudly flaunts ready to race genes with front suspension from Kayaba 41mm forks with polished stainless steel shrouds and polished lowers. 120mm travel and Rear suspension from Kayaba chromed spring twin shocks with adjustable preload. 96mm rear wheel travel.
